Rhode Island DOT soliciting support to applying cost-effective methods to operate, repair, replace, maintain, restore and preserve Rhode Island’s stormwater and drainage system assets including stormwater treatment units (STUs), catch basins, manholes, culverts, outfalls, and associated conveyance infrastructure, in addition to the many linear miles of roadway throughout the state. This initiative will assist in extending the useful life of these assets by allowing RIDOT to more efficiently perform required stormwater maintenance and drainage work that is not part of upcoming RIDOT capital improvement projects and may also be used for emergency responses and repairs originating from constituent complaints.
