Background
The King County Library System ("KCLS" or "Owner") is one of the top three largest circulating libraries in the United States. Located in the Puget Sound area, KCLS serves over one million residents at its 50 community libraries and with its Outreach services. Established in 1942, KCLS is a special purpose taxing district that is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees and operates under the constitution and laws of the State of Washington.
The libraries, administration building, distribution center, maintenance shop and outreach services are places of work and gathering spots for the general public. To maintain clean and inviting buildings, the King County Library System requires a Contractor/Vendor who is capable of covering the specific King County area.
