The Department of General Services invites firms to respond this Request for Proposal ("RFP")

The District of Columbia Government (the “District”), acting by and through its Department of General Services (the “Department” or “DGS”) invites multiple qualified Contractors to submit a proposal to the Request for Proposal ("RFP"), to provide professional Comprehensive Snow and Ice Management Services (the “Services”) as described herein.

Designation of Solicitation for the Certified small business enterprise (SBE) Set-Aside market

Offerors must be certified by the Department of Small and Local Business Development (“DSLBD”):

1. as a SBE at the time of the Proposal Submission Deadline Section [L.4] to be eligible to participate in this solicitation and,
2. and registered with the Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) under NIGP Code 96872 – Snow and Ice Removal Services

In general, the Contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, storage, vehicles and labor necessary to perform the required snow & ice removal and snow and ice melt services for the specified District of Columbia public facilities (“Services”) on a twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week basis. The intent of the awarded contract is to combat adverse weather conditions in a comprehensive, proactive, and orderly manner that results in a high level of quality and safety for the District of Columbia public. The months of service include, but are not limited to, December through May (“Snow Season”)
