Cape Girardeau Public Schools will receive Bids for the above referenced project. Reference Drawings for extents of the Scope of Work for this Project.

Bids must be on a Lump Sum basis.

Bids will be received until 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 16 at the Central Office Building located at 301 Clark Street, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701. Bids will be opened publicly at the same address, and shall be labeled; C/O Josh Crowell, Assistant Superintendent, CMS Pick-upLane.

Bids received after this time will not be accepted.

Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accord with the Instructions to Bidders. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or draft certified or issued by a state or national bank in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid payable to Cape Girardeau Public Schools, or in lieu thereof, the Bidder may furnish a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. Such bond shall be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of Missouri and made payable to Cape Girardeau Public Schools as a guarantee that such Bidder will enter into a Contract with the Owner for the Work described in the Bid and furnish bond as specified.

A Performance Bond and a Material and Labor Payment Bond in amounts equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Bid may be required to be furnished by the successful Bidder at the discretion of the School District.

All Bidders are subject to and must comply with applicable state and federal anti-discrimination laws.

All Contractors and Subcontractors shall conform to the most current State of Missouri, Division of Labor Standards, Section 079, Cape Girardeau County, Wage Order No. 32 in accordance with Section 290.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding. Bids will be reviewed by the school district and their consultants following the reading of bids.

No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids, without consent of the Board of Education, for a period of sixty (60) days after the schedule time of closing bids.
