This bid includes the following Work:

This project includes the removal and replacement of the existing underground storage tank (UST) at the Johnson County Administration Building. Work includes, but is not limited to, the removal and proper disposal of the existing 2,000-gallon single-wall underground storage tank and the installation of a new 1,000-gallon double-wall underground storage tank. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, permits, testing, and incidental items necessary to complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents.

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit will be held at 12:00 PM CT on July 30, 2026, at the Johnson County Administration Building located at 111 S Cherry Street, Olathe, KS 66061. Bidders can gather around the dock area located on the South side of the building.

Technical questions and requests for clarification shall be submitted electronically via IonWave no later than 5:00PM CT on August 6, 2026, to allow adequate time to issue an addendum, if needed.

BID BOND: Bidders shall submit with their bid a bid bond issued by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Kansas in the amount of five percent (5.0%) of the total amount of their bid. Said guarantee shall be made payable to the Board of County Commissioners of Johnson County, Kansas.

No bid may be withdrawn within a period of sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening.

The County reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder for the Work covered by the Base Bid(s) and any approved alternate(s) and to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities in any bid submitted.

No bidder shall in any way, directly or indirectly, discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment or any other person because of age, race, color, disability, sex, national origin or religious creed, or other circumstance prohibited by federal state or local law, rule or regulation.
