BACKGROUND

The City of Lenexa purchased approximately 2,416 street lights from Kansas City Power

and Light Company (now Evergy) in January 2009. This maintenance contract will be

primarily for the repair and maintenance of these purchased street lights. The City also

has approximately 7,000 street lights which have been installed to City specifications

and are on metered service. Potential repair work on these currently owned street lights

is also included with this request.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

The scope of work is outlined in Exhibit “A”. This Exhibit “A” will be incorporated into the

final agreement. A copy of the Street Light Maintenance Agreement which the contractor

and City will enter into is also included.

SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for consideration each contractor shall submit to the City one (1) electronic

PDF copy of the submittal on a flash drive. Submittals shall be received by the City no

later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday October 23, 2026. Submittals shall be clearly marked with

“Street Light Maintenance RFP” and delivered to the following address:
