ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Lufkin Road Middle School Fire Alarm Replacement

Sealed proposals for completion of the Lufkin Road Middle School Fire Alarm Replacement, Project # 862-0710/0484 will be received on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in the office of the Wake County Public School System, Facilities Design & Construction, Crossroads III, Reception Desk, 111 Corning Road, Ste 190, Cary, NC 27518. This project will be bid and awarded in accordance with North Carolina law. Sealed proposals from Contractors will be received until 2:00 p.m. All bids will be opened and read aloud starting at 2:00 p.m. All times are local prevailing times.

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00am, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Lufkin Road Middle School, 1002 Lufkin Road, Apex, NC 27539. Meet outside at the front entrance. Questions concerning the project shall be submitted in writing to Jeremy Cothren, Dewberry Engineers Inc, 2610 Wycliff Road, Suite 410 Raleigh, NC 27607. Email: jcothren@dewberry.com.

Complete plans and specifications may be obtained from Dewberry Engineers Inc, 2610 Wycliff Road, Suite 410 Raleigh, NC 27607, during normal office hours beginning 8:00 am Monday, September 21st, 2026. Requests for electronic plans shall be sent to Jeremy Cothren at jcothren@dewberry.com. If hard copies are desired - Refundable plan deposit: $50.00 - made payable to Wake County Public School System.

The Wake County Public School System reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities and irregularities in bidding and to accept bids which are considered to be in the best interest of the School System. The Wake County Public School System also reserves the right to require any bidder to submit information needed to determine if said bidder is responsible within the meaning of N.C. Gen. Stat. 143-129.
