Background
The purpose of a helicopter flight helmet is to provide impact and eye protection and enhance communication. The helmets are designed to shield the head from injury in the event of a crash, turbulence, or collisions with low-altitude obstacles. They include integrated communication systems to communicate with air traffic control and internal crew members, a mounting based for night vision goggles, as well as visors to protect the eyes from sun glare and debris.
