The Town of Shaunavon is accepting quotations for the 2026 Airport Lighting and AWOS Modernization project (TOS 2026-06). This project is supported by the Community Airport Partnership (CAP) grant and must be completed within the 2026 construction season.

Project Scope: The work involves a comprehensive safety overhaul of the airport lighting system, including the removal of legacy 277-volt components and the installation of 30 new LED runway lights (240V). Technical requirements include connection to a 600-volt primary power source, significant trenching/cabling, and installation of new underground Nema 3R transformers. Additional deliverables include a new rotational beacon, windsock assembly, Pilot-Activated Lighting (PAL) radio decoder, and the technical rewiring/integration of the existing Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS).
