The City of West Memphis invites interested partes to submit sealed bids for The Removal of Trees, Vegetation and Grassy Islands from Ten Mile Bayou. Bids will be received at City Hall, 205 S Redding, West Memphis AR. 72301 until 4:00 PM on Monday, July 13, 2026, at which time, the bids will be opened and read aloud. The bid opening is open to the public.
The work consists of removing trees and other woody growth, at ground level, on ditch banks and ditch tops, removal of vegetation along the water’s edge, and the removal of debris, beaver dams and grassy islands from ditch channels. All trees and debris must be removed from site. The ditches convey stormwater to the City’s Stormwater Pumping Station and trees, and woody debris can clog and damage the pumps. The project covers 11 sections of the drainage basin, approximately 10.5 linear miles of ditches in total.
Due to the restricted access of some sections, bidders must visit each section to ensure the exact nature of the work is fully understood.
All Bidders must be licensed contractors to perform the type of work specified in the bid as required by the State of Arkansas.

The City of West Memphis reserves the right to waive irregularities; to reject bids in its sole discretion for any reason; to postpone the award of the contract for a period that shall not exceed beyond 30 days from the bid opening date.
