INVITATION TO BID
GRADEN RD BRIDGE #33200 REPLACEMENT OVER PIED CREEK
BID SUBMITTALS for the Graden Road Bridge Replacement, must be via the Platte County online
ebidding portal. No hand/USPS delivered, fax or email bids will be accepted. Bids are due by Friday
June 12th, 2026, and will close at 4:00 P.M. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud by the
County Clerk at the 9:00 A.M. County Commission Work Session, on Monday June 15th, 2026, in the
Platte County Government Complex Building located at 415 Third St., West Wing - Room 210, Platte
City, MO 64079. All bids shall be submitted in the ebidding portal.
Contractors can register and obtain access to the bid documents at the County’s website:
https://www.co.platte.mo.us/bid-notices.
The proposed work includes: Removal of existing bridge and constructing new bridge with associated
roadway improvements.
Any questions regarding the project, plans, or specifications should be directed to OWN, Inc., at 816-
777-0400. Any questions regarding the bid process should be directed to Platte County Public Works at
816-858-2223.
All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the
prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the
Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (State Wage Rate), or state wage rate, whichever is higher.
Platte County hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered
into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically
disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this
invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex,
age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award.”
Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project shall provide a 10-
Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and
Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning
work on the construction project.
Proposals must be on forms provided.
A certified cashier’s check or a bid bond in the amount of 10% shall be submitted with each
proposal. Low and second low bidders must deliver original signed bid bond or cashiers check
within 24 hours of bid opening to the Platte County Clerk’s Office located at 415 Third St., Platte
City, MO.
The project will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. Platte County reserves the
right to reject any or all bids.
The DBE Goal has not been established for this project, but contractors are encouraged to seek
DBE participation.
No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project.
