The Contracting Agency will hold one voluntary pre-Bid site visit for interested Proposal holders and Planholders. The site visit will take place on September 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at 4008 Pioneer Way East, Tacoma WA. This meeting will include a safety briefing, a discussion of general requirements, and a tour of the project site. Attendees must wear appropriate attire including a hard hat, reflective vest, safety glasses, gloves and boots. Attendees will be required to sign a waiver prior to entering the project site. Proposal and Planholders shall give notice of their intent to attend the pre-Bid site visit by email to Andrey.Chepel@wsdot.wa.gov no later than two business days prior to the site visit. Attendance is not mandatory. However, all Proposal and Planholders are encouraged to attend. The meeting and site visit are expected to last a total of 90 minutes.
This Contract provides for the improvement of two dams (WDFW ID: 600317 and 600318) located on Clear Creek, Pierce County, within a former trout hatchery south of Pioneer Way East. The Work includes removal of these two dams and other obstructions and restoration of a portion of Clear Creek, as well as a temporary stream diversion system, erosion control, clearing & grubbing, tree removal, channel excavation, stream grading, installation of large woody material, planting. Involves 111 items and 300 working days. Work Class 1, clearing, grubbing, grading and draining.
