Project Description: The Incorporated County of Los Alamos (“County”) Municipal Court is seeking qualified service providers to provide SMART Recovery for Juveniles. Youth in the County face increasing challenges related to substance use and behavioral health, yet there is a lack of developmentally appropriate, evidence-based recovery supports tailored to juveniles. Traditional programs often fail to engage adolescents or address their unique needs for skill-building, autonomy, and motivation. There is a clear need for structured, youth-centered programming such as SMART Recovery, which uses cognitive behavioral and motivational approaches to help participants develop coping strategies, manage impulses, and build resilience. Contracted facilitation of juvenile-focused SMART Recovery meetings will provide a consistent, supportive environment that promotes positive behavior change, reduces recidivism, and supports long-term well-being
