Project Description: CONTRACT 26-04: The Bergen County Utilities Authority (BCUA) is pre-purchasing two new gravity thickener mechanisms for the existing Gravity Thickener Tanks No. 1 and No. 2 at the Little Ferry Water Pollution Control Facility. Each tank is 65 feet in diameter with a 10-foot side water depth. Each mechanism is a complete center-column, side-feed, peripheral-overflow unit with a center drive and four rake arms, rated for 200,000 ft-lbs. of torque. The contract also covers a spare parts package, 3D scanning and field verification of the existing tank geometry, storage inspections, and on-site supervision of installation, testing, and training. The Project also includes all other Work of any type or description necessary for completion of the Project, whether or not specifically described in these Contract Documents.
