Dear Contractor:
The Monroe County Land Bank is hereby soliciting proposals from qualified vendors for
asbestos abatement and the demolition of one blighted commercial property located in
Dundee, Michigan.
The commercial building is located at 152 Main Street, Dundee, MI 48131 (Parcel# 58-
42-040-275-00).
Demolition is funded through a grant from the state of Michigan using federal dollars.
Some additional documentation is required as a result.
Bids are requested for the building.
The study area is at 152 Main Street, Dundee, MI 48131 (Parcel# 58-42-040-275-00) and
is now owned by Village of Dundee, per access agreement, the Monroe County Land
Bank has been tasked with leading the demolition project.
The Monroe County Land Bank recently completed the Phase I and Phase II
Environmental Studies for the parcel. Additionally, an attached hazardous/regulated
material report was completed.
The awarded contractor will be required to perform all services as outlined in the Scope
of Work section of this Request for Proposal and shall include the cost for the project as
outlined in this proposal. The cost of all labor, material, equipment, tools, supervision,
etc. shall be included in the proposal cost pricing. The firm selected will be required to
complete this project as soon as possible after award of contract. Please use the Proposal
Form provided to submit your response.
The final date for submitting a proposal for this project is THURSDAY, JUNE 4, 2026
at 4:00 P.M. to Jesse Stanford, Monroe County Land Bank, 51 South Macomb Street,
Monroe, Michigan 48161. Your envelope must be sealed and clearly marked
“Dangerous Building Demolition For: Monroe County Land Bank Authority on
behalf of the Village of Dundee for structure located at 152 Main Street Dundee,
Michigan 48131” so that no error in opening may occur. Alternatively, contractors may
submit proposals by the same deadline via e-mail as a separate Microsoft Word or PDF
document attachment to jesse_stanford@monroemi.org. Indicate the email subject line, a
Sealed Proposal is attached for the “Dangerous Building Demolition For: Monroe
County Land Bank Authority on behalf of the Village of Dundee for structure
located at 152 Main Street Dundee, Michigan 48131”.
A decision by the Monroe County Land Bank Board for the project will be made shortly
after the deadline.
The Monroe County Land Bank reserves the right to accept or to reject any and all
proposals, to waive any irregularities and to make an award that is determined by the
Monroe County Land Bank to be in the best interest of the County and/or the Land Bank.
