Project Description: Salt Lake City Corporation is seeking bids to clear and secure real property. The City’s ability to abate and secure vacant, unsecured structures and their immediate curtilage is an essential tool for protecting both the structures themselves and the surrounding neighborhoods. Unsecured vacant buildings can attract criminal activity, fires, trespassing, nuisance activity, and urban blight, all of which can have a significant negative impact on the surrounding community. The City’s abatement and boarding authority helps prevent these conditions from spreading and ensures that vacant properties are maintained in a manner that minimizes risks to public safety and neighborhood stability.
