TITLE: OAK CREEK LANDING BOAT AND FISHING PIER RE-DECKING

Sealed Bids shall be accepted by the County Manager’s Office, South Wing, Talbot County Courthouse, 11 North Washington Street, Suite #13, Easton, Maryland, 21601 until 10:00 a.m . on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at which time they shall be opened and read aloud. Emailed, faxed, or other electronic bids will not be accepted. Incomplete or untimely bids shall not be considered. It is the bidder’s responsibility to ensure that their bid is complete and submitted in a timely manner. The County assumes no responsibility to notify bidders of incomplete or untimely bids.
The Scope of Work includes demolition and replacement of the existing pier decking, including disposal and final site cleanup as described in the drawing exhibit and specifications.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the Talbot County Department of Parks & Recreation, 10028 Ocean Gateway, Easton, Maryland 21601 at 10:00 a.m . on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 . Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference is not mandatory; however, bidders are strongly encouraged to attend.
The Project Specifications, Construction and Bid Submission Documents may be obtained on or after Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Talbot County Department of Parks & Recreation, 10028 Ocean Gateway, Easton, Maryland 21601, or by email, by contacting LaDarian Blake, Assistant Director, Department of Parks & Recreation, at (410) 770-8046 at a cost of $25.00 per set, no part of which is refundable. Written questions and comments regarding the Specifications, Permit Drawings and Bid Submission Documents shall be directed to LaDarian Blake, Assistant Director at lblake@talbotcountymd.gov. and shall be received no later than noon one (1) week prior to the bid opening date in order that responses can be provided to all bidders in advance of the bid opening date.
Partial sets of the Construction and Bid Submission Documents will not be available from the issuing office. The Owner shall not be responsible for full or partial sets of Construction and Bid Submission Documents, including Addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the issuing office. Bids will not be accepted from bidders who have not registered, obtained and paid for the Construction and Bid Submission Documents.
Bid security shall be furnished as stipulated in the project Specifications, Information for Bidders.
Funding sources for the project will include local funding and a State of Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) grant.
The County Council of Talbot County, Maryland reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept any bid, alternate, or any portions thereof when, in their judgment, the public will be better served.
