Bid Type: Job Contract Locations: Grand Isle Keywords: Construction (Non Building), Landscaping, Environmental Conservation Bid Description: South Hero Land Trust invites qualified contractors to prepare bids for the construction of the Sunrise Drive Shoreline Bioengineering Project located along Lake Champlain in South Hero, Vermont. The Project includes installation of encapsulated soil lifts, stone toe protection, plantings, grading, and associated site restoration. The intent of the Project is to stabilize shoreline erosion along three adjacent private properties on Sunrise Drive while providing additional water quality and habitat benefits. Bids will be received by South Hero Land Trust (SHLT) via email until 5:00 PM on October 7, 2026. Bid submissions must be clearly marked and emailed to Guy Maguire at guy@shlt.org. Late bids will not be considered. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms are encouraged to submit proposals. Potential bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid site visit Thursday September 24 at 10am, to visit the project site prior to submission of bids and familiarize themselves with site conditions and the surrounding area. Interested contractors shall meet at the project site, accessible from the Keeler Bay Fish & Wildlife Access Area parking lot at 38 Sunrise Drive, South Hero, VT All questions regarding the Project shall be submitted to Guy Maguire, Executive Director of South Hero Land Trust, by September 28, 2026. Responses to questions will be issued on September 30, 2026, to all contractors who attended the pre-bid meeting.
