Special Instructions:
Prior Experience: Bidders must demonstrate completion of at least one prior projects of
similar scale and complexity involving control of water, installation of rootwads, and
construction of reinforced soil slope.

Take note: rootwad harvesting is limited by state and federal permits to the period November 1 – March 31 (for protection of bats), and instream work to the period July 1 – October 1, which means there is a required delay between harvesting and installation.

Rootwads: 34 Rootwads with intact 5’ fan and 18’ attached trunks are to be provided and installed. Landowner on an adjacent parcel across the channel has identified areas from which trees may be harvested. Contractor is responsible for restoration of the harvest sites.
