Bid Description:
The goal of the project is to stabilize Thatcher Brook in Waterbury downstream of the I-89 highway bridge to protect the sewer lines located in the channel and floodplain. The project generally includes
removing fill to widen the channel, creating a flood bench, stabilizing the banks, and establishing river channel grade control through a series of weirs. The project location is 1,200-feet of the channel where the channel and Stowe Street are in close proximity. The project is located in the Edward Farrar Utility
District (Downtown Waterbury, VT) that is seeking competitive bids to complete the stabilization project. Construction plans accompany this Request for Construction Bids.
