Project Description: Notice is provided by the Township Secretary that sealed proposals will be received by the Township of Lower Merion for the following:
2026 ADA Curb Cut Replacement
Contract Number: 26-20-0073-0049-0050
Sealed proposals shall be submitted online via the PennBid Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com).
Proposals will be received until 11:00 am, prevailing time, July 9, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty as specified in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Bid Document.
A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% are required. Also, a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 25% is required.
Bidders may obtain electronic copies of drawings and specifications of this project, at no cost, on the PennBid website noted above.
Project scope of work includes demolition of existing curb ramps, saw cutting and removal of pavement, installation of new concrete ADA curb ramps meeting PADOT requirements, paint striping as needed, repaving sawcut areas and cleanup.
Detailed specifications were developed by Carroll Engineering Corporation, 949 Easton Road, Warrington, PA 18976. Questions regarding the project scope shall be submitted via the “Questions” feature in PennBid. The last day for receipt of written questions is end of business day, Friday, June 26, 2026.
The project is funded by Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
The Township encourages Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) to apply to this proposal. Bidders must make the best effort to hire minority and women business enterprises. Documentation of such solicitation and/or commitments will be subject for review at the request of the Township. Successful bidder must have an Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) Number and be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Data Bank at https://sam.gov (System for Award Management).
