Work Scope
The City of Allentown proposes to expand its existing traffic signal system by adding three intersections, consisting of one new traffic signal and two modified traffic signals. The project also includes improvements at the individual intersections to enhance vehicle and pedestrian operations. Additionally, the City of Allentown is proposing to install a pedestrian actuated Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon at another intersection.
Bidding for the project will be structured with two Base Bid intersections and two Alternate Bid intersections. Bidders shall provide separate pricing for each of the four locations in their proposal.

Submittal
The City of Allentown will begin to receive sealed bids online via PennBid only at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com. Submissions shall be opened electronically and publicly posted on PennBid’s website. Vendors must submit proposals online; those who fail to submit complete applications through PennBid will not be considered for award. Submissions must include a scanned copy of the Bid Bond as stated above through PennBid in the appropriate drop down. The PROPOSAL PAGE must be completed and submitted through PennBid. Other Forms must be completed and uploaded to PennBid.
Proposals may be withdrawn, altered or otherwise modified within PennBid at any time prior to the due date and time listed. Questions regarding this project shall be submitted via the “Ask a Question” feature in PennBid at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com.
No faxed or emailed proposals will be accepted. Responses received after the prevailing date and time will be rejected as non-responsive.
