Project Title: Biopharmaceutical Automated Fill Machine Isolator
Description: The Biomanufacturing Education & Skills Training (BEST) Center of Eastern North Carolina, operated by Wilson Community College, is expanding its current design to include simulated cleanrooms that will be utilized for training in drug product manufacturing. To provide a capstone experience for trainees, the expansion will feature an automated fill machine housed in an isolator that simulates a controlled environment. Wilson Community College is seeking proposals to build and install a unit that meets the user requirements listed within. The design should facilitate advanced training on manual operations and aseptic techniques, with emphasis on educational value rather than high-throughput capability, operational flexibility, or additional premium features. The contract will include multiple phases, including project kickoff and design review; equipment design, fabrication, assembly, integration, and programming; Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT); delivery and installation; startup and commissioning; functional and acceptance testing; training; delivery of required documentation; and final project acceptance. Interested vendors should provide a written proposal that describes their solution.
