Detailed Scope of Work:
Existing Equipment Removal
• Remove existing RF ALS hardware components in each courtroom, including:
o RF transmitters
o Antennas
o Associated mounting hardware
o Low-voltage cabling no longer required
• Existing RF ALS equipment removed shall be turned over to AOC IT for evaluation, reuse, storage, or disposal.
• Ensure rack spaces and cable management are left clean and organized after removal.
New IR ALS Installation
• Furnish and install new IR ALS components in each courtroom, including:
o IR emitters/transmitters
o Associated receivers and charging equipment
o Required power supplies and mounting hardware

• Mount new IR transmitter assemblies in the designated location above the primary courtroom TV/display.
• Verify mounting locations provide optimal courtroom coverage and line-of-sight performance.
Low-Voltage Cabling & Infrastructure
• Provide and install all required low-voltage cabling between the courtroom A/V rack and the new IR emitter/transmitter
location.
• Estimated cable pathway distance:
o Approximately 50–75 feet total cable run
o New emitter location approximately 35 feet from the A/V rack in physical distance
• Contractor to:
o Verify final cable routing path during site walkthrough
o Verify power availability
o Utilize existing pathways where feasible
o Provide any additional cable supports, raceway, or pathway management required
• Cabling to include:
o Audio signal cabling
o Control cabling (if applicable)
• All cabling shall be neatly dressed, labeled, and terminated in accordance with industry best practices.
Rack Integration & System Configuration
• Integrate new IR ALS equipment into the existing courtroom A/V rack.
• Provide all required rack hardware, shelves, cable management, and terminations.
• Configure system audio levels and integrate with the existing courtroom audio system.
Testing & Commissioning
• Perform complete functional testing of each courtroom ALS installation, including:
o Audio clarity verification
o IR coverage testing throughout courtroom seating areas
o ADA functionality validation
o Verification of receiver operation and charging functionality
• Coordinate testing with AOC IT staff.
• Resolve any identified deficiencies before project closeout.
Documentation & Closeout
• Provide updated as-built documentation showing:
o Equipment locations
o Cable pathways
o Rack elevations (if modified)
o Device labeling
• Provide any manufacturer documentation, warranty information, and recommended maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate final walkthrough with AOC IT staff upon completion.
Scheduling & Courtroom Availability Constraints
• Installation work must be coordinated around active courtroom schedules and judicial operations.
• Courtroom access windows will vary by courtroom availability.
• These scheduling constraints may extend the overall project completion timeline.
• Contractor shall coordinate scheduling activities with AOC staff prior to work being performed in each courtroom.
