Water Line and Sewer Line Program Details:
Homeowners own and are responsible for both the main water service line that runs from their home to the City’s water meter (the “Homeowner’s Water Service Line”) and for the main sewer service line that runs from their home to the City’s sewer main (the “Homeowner’s Sewer Service Line.”) If these lines become clogged, collapse or otherwise fail to operate, the homeowner is responsible for any necessary repairs.
The City requests, at a minimum, the program to cover the Water Service Line and Sewer Service Line.
Evaluations of proposals will be for the Water Service Line and Sewer Service Line. Proposers can include other programs (electrical, HVAC) but it will not be part of the scoring.
Issues either inside or under the foundation can be options offered to the residents of Tempe.
The program should specifically state what expenses, beyond those covered by the proposed, will be the responsibility of the homeowner.
The program should be made available to the owners of single-family homes and owner-occupied residences within the Tempe City Limits.
Proposed program should clearly state any minimum subscription periods and directions on how to discontinue the participation in the program.
If a homeowner receives service from the proposed firm for any repair or replacement, clearly state any subscription requirements after receiving assistance.
The current program is currently being by HomeServe.
