Project Description: The City of Scottsdale is seeking a qualified Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) to provide preconstruction and complete construction phase services for the City of Scottsdale’s Sundown Ranchos Waterline Replacement project located within the Sundown Ranchos, Sundown Ranchos No. 2, and Sundown Ranch Acres subdivisions from Hayden Rd to the Loop-101 (east/west) and Cholla St to Shea Blvd (north-south) as depicted in Exhibit F, attached hereto.
This project will install approximately 18,000 linear feet of new and upsized water main in the Right-of-Way (roadway) and abandon existing water lines in the alleys. Since the water line will be relocated to the front side of single-family residences, the project involves relocating private property plumbing. This includes moving the property’s water meter and water service line and reconnecting the plumbing to the new water main for 115 private properties.
The City is seeking a licensed contractor with background and experience constructing water main and water service replacement projects for residential areas. The CMAR shall understand the special concerns of water service replacement and working with neighbors to ensure good communication, smooth construction, and to maintain water service to properties when able. The construction estimate range for this project is approximately fourteen million dollars ($14,000,000).
