The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 23 intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to ELECTRONIC SOUND INC. ELECTRONIC SOUND INC is the only authorized distributor of Rauland Responder 5 Software Maintenance required at the NWI Health Care System. The Rauland Responder 5 system is proprietary to Rauland Ametek and may only be licensed by an authorized distributor for Nebraska.
The place of performance is for the Department of Veterans Affairs Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System: Omaha VA Medical Center 4101 Woolworth Ave, Omaha, NE 68105. The NAICS code is 541512 Computer Systems Design Services, with a size standard of $34 Million, and PSC DA10.

This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency by e-mailing such statement and supporting documentation to Jesse Sweesy, Contracting Officer, at jesse.sweesy@va.gov. Statements are due no later than 10/28 at 5:00 PM Central Time. Please indicate Response to Rauland Respond 5 Software Maintenance in subject line of e-mail. No phone calls please. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services and include an OEM Authorized Distributor Letter. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted.
