Pursuant to Section 3-05 of the PPB Rules, the Department of Social Services (DSS), intends to enter into a Sole Source contract with Xerox Corporation for the Maintenance Service of 2 Xerox Nuvera MICR 100 & 144 Printers, including 3x7 Extended Service for the service period of 07/01/2023 - 06/30/2025. DSS intended to discontinue using these printers after the previous contract end date of 06/30/2023 and replace them with new printers. However, due to delay in funding for the new printers, DSS needed to continue using existing printers to prevent disruption in services for the printing operation of client checks. Since funding has now been secured for the new replacement printers and procurement is in process, these Printers will be discontinued after 06/30/2025. This request is to pay the vendor for rendered services and keep the printing operation uninterrupted until 06/30/2025. DSS proposes that this contract be awarded as a Sole Source procurement to Xerox Corporation as they are the sole source provider for the Maintenance Service of 2 Xerox Nuvera MICR 100 & 144 Printers and Extended Service.
