ADDENDUM NO. 2
Bidders are hereby notified that this addendum shall be made a part of the above-named proposal and contract documents.
The following is issued to modify, and/or clarify the bid and contract documents. These items shall have the same force and
effect as the original bid and contract documents, and bids to be submitted on the specified bid date, shall conform with the
additions, deletions and revisions listed as herein.

QUESTIONS/ANSWERS:
Q1: Can you please provide existing sign images to have an idea of what to remove?
A1: Attached is an example of a ‘typical’ sign to be removed. The existing signs are approximately 6ft x 3ft
with 4in x 4in pressure treated posts, most without footers.
Q2: Is the cashier’s check, bid bond, performance or payment bond required with bid or after award? Specify
the percentage of each.
A2: This project does not require bonding.
Q3: Are samples required with bid or even after award?
A3: Not with the bid, but we would expect proofs prior to manufacture and placement.
Q4: Is this subject to prevailing wage or labor union?
A4: No.
Q5: Is patch/repair required?
A5: No repair/patch work is acceptable. All need to be new structures with complete replacement.
Q6: Are any permits required?
A6: All signs are going to be installed within the perimeter of the park areas. Permits and licenses necessary
for the prosecution of the work shall be secured and paid for by the Contractor, if required. The Contractor
shall give all notices and comply with all laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations bearing on the conduct of the
work as drawn and specified.
Q7: What is the total number of signs to be removed?
A7: This bid is to remove and replace 112 signs and frames.
Q8: Can the existing frames be cut above-grade?
A8: Yes, but the new frames need to be placed in the same location.
Q9: How do you want the carriage bolts installed?
A9: The carriage bolts need to be recessed and flush.

CORRECTION: The Notice of Availability states ‘Local licenses required: Certified/Registered General or
Certified/Registered Sign Electrical’. The correct license requirements should be Local licenses required:
Certified/Registered General or Certified/Registered Building.
CORRECTION: The page 23 of the Bid Form, the checklist states the ‘License Requirement:
Certified/Registered General or Certified/Registered Sign Electrical’.

ADDITION TO THE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: DISPOSAL OF WASTE: Hazardous waste shall be
disposed of in accordance with all Federal, State and Local Regulations. Hazardous waste may include
coatings such as PCV coating, galvanizing, or paint. Debris and discard will be cleared daily in work and
storage areas. The Contractor will provide container/truck for disposal and cleaning of work area if necessary.
The Permittee/County has no means for disposal of debris and refuse and Contractor is solely responsible for
disposal of debris and refuse.
The Contractor shall provide a written waste plan that describes how waste will be handed, stored, and
disposed of when necessary. The plan shall include the location of the Landfill including the WACS ID. For
example, all project related C&D debris will be disposed of at the Charlotte County Landfill at 29751 Zemel
Road, Punta Gorda, FL 33955 (2'6.798338, -81.957432), WACS ID: 71714.
This addendum is binding and is to be considered as if contained within the original bid documents of Bid No. 2024000582.
Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their bid forms.
