The purpose of this solicitation
for Centralized Distribution Warehouse Optimization  (this "Solicitation") is to evaluate
and select a Company to initiate a warehouse optimization project aimed at
enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, improving overall
productivity, and maximizing space utilization across multiple warehouse
facilities. The vendor shall provide the following services: engineering and
cost analysis, process evaluation and organization financial impact evaluation
update, overhaul and improve the facility, and provide processes and systemic
approach to inventory management of Commonwealth Service Center (CSC) to Best
in Class as described in this Solicitation (the "Work") and to
determine the best method for JEA to procure the Work with regard to pricing,
quality, design, and workmanship. JEA’s processes impacted by this project will
be material storage locations (space utilization), material flow through the
warehouse and will involve opportunities to optimize processes like put-away,
picking, packing, storage, shipping and receiving. The current warehousing
system has been in place since the 90’s, with little facilities upgrades and
reorganization.
