Summary:Separate sealed Bids for the Rockbridge Area Department of Social Services for the City of Lexington, which consists of the construction of a new building, including site work, for Rockbridge Area Department of Social Services, will be received by Tom Carroll, City Manager at City of Lexington City Hall, 300 East Washington Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450, until 2:00 P.M., local prevailing time, on January 15, 2025, and then publicly opened and read aloud in the City Hall Conference Room.
The Contract Documents may be accessed online at https://eva.virginia.gov/, City of Lexington Website, https://www.lexingtonva.gov/business/bids, and Thompson & Litton, Inc. ShareFile site, https://sharefiles.t-l.com/s/o/iea74zKU5YSQaU26.
A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on December 16, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. All interested parties are requested to meet the Architect at City of Lexington City Hall, 300 East Washington Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450 at that time.
Withdrawal of bids shall be available only in accordance with the procedure set out in (§ 2.2-4330) of the Code of Virginia.
Bids must be accompanied by Bid security as specified in the Instructions to Bidders.
Each Bidder must be licensed as a Class A contractor in the State of Virginia; Bidders are instructed to review the Code of Virginia, Title 54.1, Chapter 11, prior to bidding.
The Owner does not discriminate against faith-based organizations in accordance with the Code of Virginia, § 2.2-4343.1.
MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit Bids.
The Contract(s) shall be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder(s).
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids if it appears in its best interest to do so. - Round Information:Changes to general clarifications and answers to pre-bid questions, bidding requirements, specifications, and drawings.
